Baking in Stoneware


Stoneware does a beautiful job of baking, and makes your culinary creations look great. It can handle a lot of heat, but does not do well with sudden changes in temperature. Just keep in mind these few simple tips:

  • Make sure that your baking dish is filled evenly (meaning, don’t stick a pie dish with two pieces left in it in the oven to reheat)
  • Never take a pottery dish straight from the fridge or freezer to the oven, allow it to reach room temperature before baking
  • For best results, keep at or below 350°
